Join Mercy College for a Unique Career and Scholarship Opportunity

Earn a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics Education Funded by the National Science Foundation

The Program Provides

  • $ 32,800 in scholarship support to cover the full cost of tuition
  • 140 days of clinical internship in a Yonkers public secondary school under the mentorship of an experienced math secondary school teacher
  • On-site support and professional mentoring from Mercy College faculty
  • Support to prepare for certification examinations
  • One year of on-site and online follow-up support

WHEN: June 2016 – August 2017

WHERE: Graduate Courses: Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY

Teaching Internship: Yonkers Secondary Schools

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: Up to Ten U.S. Military Veterans

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree including a minimum of 24 credits in mathematics

and a 3.0 GPA

Additional Requirements: Commitment to teach two years in a high-needs school following the program
