The Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester unveiled its updated, state-of-the-art computer lab Monday.
The lab was made possible through a $25,000 donation from AT&T. It’s part of AT&T’s “Thank Our Heroes” program, which contributed to 14 organizations that serve veterans and active military across the country.
Many of the new computers have large monitors and adapted keyboards and mice.
“Sometimes veterans come home from service, or even reintegrate years later, and they’ve got some physical disabilities that using kind of a traditional computer type setup might not be as effective for them,” says VOC’s Executive Director Laura Stradley.
