Santa Clara Water District Joins!



The Santa Clara Valley Water District manages an integrated water resources system that includes the supply of clean, safe water, flood protection and stewardship of streams on behalf of Santa Clara County’s 1.8 million residents. The district effectively manages 10 dams and surface water reservoirs, three water treatment plants, an advanced recycled water purification center, a state-of-the-art water quality laboratory, nearly 400 acres of groundwater recharge ponds and more than 275 miles of streams.

Santa Clara Valley Water District is currently hiring for these positions:

Associate Real Estate Agent –

Duties: The position of Associate Real Estate Agent in the Real Estate Unit performs a wide variety of routine and complex real estate functions for the acquisition, appraisal and management of District properties; works with a team of approximately 9 people, and also performs other professional internal and external customer service tasks for Real Estate in support of Capital Projects.

Associate Civil Engineer –

Duties: This position will serve as Project Lead and Engineer-of-Record and be responsible for signing and stamping engineering reports, engineering design analyses and calculations, construction plans and specifications, and other technical documents, prepared by and under the direction of the incumbent, for water treatment plant and pumping plant capital improvement projects. The position will also provide engineering support during construction.

Financial Services Unit Manager –

Duties: To direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the financial activities and operations of the assigned General Accounting Unit (GAU) within the Financial Planning and Management Services Division including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue billing, payroll, financial reporting, tax reporting, financial audits and general ledger. May provide additional support to treasury, investments, budgeting and forecast modeling functions. Responsible for coordinating assigned activities with other units, divisions and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Chief Financial Officer.
