Community Health and Counseling Services Joins

CHCSCommunity Health and Counseling Services is a private, non profit community-based home health, hospice and mental health provider serving eastern, northern and central Maine.

As a nonprofit corporation, they are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Corporate Members elect the members of the corporation and the Board of Directors.

One of the few combined home health and behavioral health care agencies in the United States, Community Health and Counseling Services combines mutually supportive programs and collaborative relationships with other health care providers to serve both the physical and psychological aspects of an individual’s well-being.

These services are offered in homes, schools, and the area offices of CHCS in central, eastern and northern Maine. The size of the CHCS service area in Maine covers over 22,000 square miles. That’s the combined size of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Through a continuum of care and support, Community Health and Counseling Services touches the lives of thousands of people each year, providing needed services to people and their families in their community in a cost-effective way.
