Angel Richardson can navigate the Riverside bus routes probably as well as he could a Navy ship.

The 54-year-old Navy veteran often bounces across counties between appointments. Day-to-day, the Riverside resident relies on the buses to keep his life moving forward.

He has been on and off the streets since 2010, shifting in and out of homelessness.

But the buses lift him between different chapters of his life, taking him to interviews for a job, classes to help him get work with the Department of Defense, or hubs of support where he can address his basic needs.
