NCHV Hosts Teleconference on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. EST
Service providers can apply different outreach and programmatic approaches to increase the employment success rates of clients who are homeless female veterans and/or veterans with families. On Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at 3
p.m. EST, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) and the National Center on Family Homelessness (NCFH) will hold a teleconference on this topic called “Boots on the Ground.” The call will focus on how service
providers – specifically, how Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) grantees serving homeless female veterans and/or veterans with families – and their employees can improve their military cultural competency and use
it for effective recruitment and retention of women veterans in job training and placement.
Risa Greendlinger, Project Director overseeing military and veterans services at NCFH, will be featured on this call, which will be moderated by Baylee Crone, NCHV’s Director of Technical Assistance. Ample time will be left at the end for questions.
Organizations that are currently or looking to provide employment services to homeless female veterans are encouraged to participate.
