Omniflight Helicopters, Inc. was founded in 1962 by Dan Parker in Janesville, Wisconsin. At that time, flight operations focused on tourism, corporate and utility activities using a Bell 47.
As the Director of the Agency for International Development for the Nixon Administration during the Vietnam War, Dan was exposed to the concept of the “golden hour” and to helicopter evacuation of critically wounded soldiers. He recognized the potential of these services and focused his company on helicopter transport for the critically ill and injured in the United States. He created Omniflight’s Air Emergency Services to realize his vision. Since that time, the company has worked to consolidate its resources to focus only on supporting rotor and fixed wing air medical transport programs.
Omniflight has restructured itself and its own internal processes to reduce operating costs. We have ensured our won financial viability and we are financially accountable to our business partners.
We have formed alliances with individuals and organizations that play key roles in the future of medical transport systems and health care reform. We have sought information sources to keep ourselves and our business partners abreast of legislative and market changes which impact our industry. Today, Omniflight is not just a supplier of aviation services. We are operating on the cutting edge of medical transport and serving as the pathfinder of the medical industry.
Since 1962, Omniflight has been an industry leader in aviation support.
In addition to committing exclusively to the provision of aircraft and aviation services to air medical programs, Omniflight looks forward to the challenges and opportunities of the future. We have positioned ourselves to fully support our business partners as the health care environment changes.
Health care providers choose us because we understand the needs of medical professionals in this highly specialized field and we deliver a consistent high level of quality in every service area.
We do what it takes to provide you with the most reliable service, excellent air medical completions, high quality maintenance, personalized customer support, and an unbeatable record of in-service hours.
We understand that when you choose your air medical service provider it’s a business decision for your administration, a health care decision for your medical professionals, and a matter of life and death for your patients.
Omniflight will commit the same effort to being accountable and resourceful that we commit to operating safely.
