The U.S. Navy’s pay scale from lowest to highest in 2012


In the post-World War world, the US Navy became a critical participant throughout the Cold War, seeing actions in the Korean War, Vietnam War and the 1991 Gulf War while, more recently, operating in support of operations across of Afghanistan and Iraq. The USN currently fields a plethora of carriers, amphibious assault ships and landing ships, transport docks, armed cruisers, destroyers and frigates as well as potent submarines. Additionally, she maintains a powerful mobile air arm showcasing the FA-18 “Hornet” and “Super Hornet” multirole aircraft as well as specialized warfare platforms, dedicated trainers, transports and helicopters for various roles.
